Arches are traditionally made high-end fine art paper from France since 1492. Known for producing high-end fine art and printing papers. Arches Watercolour and Oil Papers are available as pads, blocks, single full sheets or in packs of full sheets in a range of textures and surfaces.

Made the traditional way, on a cylinder mould, this paper has a harmonious natural grain. Thanks to this method, the fibres are evenly distributed, the paper slackens uniformly when wet.

Watercolour pads are glued on the top, similar to a standard sketch pad.

Its composition with long fibres of 100% cotton gives the paper its strength, beauty, a natural, lasting whiteness and an inimitable touch.

Its grain is comparable to that of a stretched canvas, which makes for comfortable working and requires no prior preparation. Thanks to its semi-absorbent surface, the paint stays on the surface for an excellent rendering of the colours and faster drying times.
