Taking just a few seconds to apply our 100% food-safe Finishing Wax will add extra protection from water and moisture while bringing out more vivid wood colors and shine. It also repels food particles, keeping your board safe for you and your guests. Looking for full protection? Use it after applying a layer of our original Conditioning Oil. Specs 100% food-safe Materials: Fractionated coconut oil & beeswax Volume: 4 oz. (a little goes a long way) Unscented Project Ideas Serving boards Cutting Boards Butcher Blocks Wooden kitchen utensils Cast-iron For New Wood Projects When using our Finishing Wax for new wood projects, be sure to sand at 320 to 600 first, raise the grain with water, perform final sand, coat with food-safe oil, and then apply Finishing Wax. How to Maintain or Restore a Board Clean the item with light soap and lukewarm water, and then let it dry standing up. If there are deep knife cuts or if any mold is visible, sanding the board down will be necessary. After that, apply a thin layer of our Finishing Wax over the entire surface with a rag, let dry 20 - 60 minutes, and then buff with a clean rag. For full protection, consider applying our Conditioning Oil prior to waxing. Using with Another Company's Products Our Finishing Wax can be used alongside most other oil-based finishes or epoxy and resins, such as when making a river board or when using wood pieces that have had cracks and holes filled with epoxy.
