Leather Copper and Steel Primitive Style Necklace

This necklace has four blackened copper pieces which were inspired by the gaming pieces found in a cave at a Basket Maker site in Utah. The original pieces were made of bone by people living at the site as early as 100 - 300 AD. I made these pieces from copper metal clay and then blackened them with liver of sulfur. The round charms are less than 1 inch in diameter. The oblong charms are about 3/4 inch by 1 and 1/2 inches.
