The local alpaca fibre is core spun with natural cotton twine which makes it fairly rigid, while being very soft to touch. This is another yarn that I have been using in my collection for over 9 years now. I have knitted a blanket with it, woven many wall hangings and used it to weave the Herringbone Cushions in my book The Woven Home (pictured)  Also pictured is a weaving that I made where I used the yarn (which had been hand dyed) as a warp for a textured, super chunky weaving.   Fibre content 98% alpaca, 2% cotton core Weight 100g / 13.5oz Length 15m / 16yd Thickness Jumbo Knitting needle size & tension 13mm - 18mm / 17+ US WPI & suggested heddle 3 WPI, 2.5dpi 10/10 reed  Care Hand wash, lay flat to dry Origin New South Wales, Australia Please note that while I try my very best to represent these yarns accurately, there may be variations of -/+5% on all measurements.
