Creative Grids Stripology XL Ruler - cgrge1xl

Designed by Gudrun Erla and made in the USA, the Stripology XL Slotted Quilt Ruler is 22 inches x 17 3/4 inches. The slits are 14 3/4 inches long. It combines all of the features you love in the original Stripology ruler AND the Stripology Squared. It has the height of the Stripology Squared - so you can square up blocks up to 12.5 inches - with the width of the original Stripology so you can cut up to eight 2.5 inch strips or 14 1.5 inch strips without moving the tool.

The Creative Grids Stripology Squared quilt ruler has all of the features you love in the original Stripology ruler and makes squaring upblocks a breeze. The smaller size is easier to manipulate and is more portable so it is the perfect choice when traveling to classes and retreats. Because the slots are longer to accommodate larger blocks, it is excellent for cutting wider fabrics. Follow the squares at the bottom for 2 1/2 inch cuts; follow the stars for 1 1/2 inch cuts - no math required.

Use the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal markings to square up any block – up to a 14-1/2 inch square. Use these lines to center and trim embroidery designs, applique blocks, and even fussy cut T-Shirts for T-Shirt quilts. (Fussy cutting is choosing a specific design in the fabric to showcase in your project.) The drilled holes at 1-1/2 to 13-1/2 inch increments, make it possible to square up, mark and add the seam allowance to any block.
