A Silicone Onlay is a combination of a mold and a cutter that creates three dimensional, stencil-like designs from sheeted fondant, gum paste, modeling chocolate, marzipan and other rolled icings. The Damask Pattern Silicone Onlay is the perfect tool for creating raised, 3D damask designs for cake decorating. While designed for fondant covered cakes, Onlays can be used on buttercream cakes provided the cake is thoroughly refrigerated prior to application. Apply the Onlay while the buttercream is firm and cold, using piping gel or edible glue. The design measures approximately 6-1/4 x 4 inches.
