Size 7 Cotton Candle Wick (5.9) Chandler & Me cotton wicks are a natural wick made from Egyptian textile-grade cotton and are developed to work best with our soy wax, helping you to achieve a clean burn and excellent scent throw. Our wicks are tested and developed to burn cleanly and can be less prone mushrooming*. Chandler & Me wicks are certified Zinc and Lead free. Need help with wick sizing? The series 7 wick works well in our standard (medium size) candle jars with an internal diameter of 2.67 and will work in other jars with an internal diameter ranging from 2.55-3.14. Depending on where your jar diameter sits within this range, and what type of fragrance you are using (say a thinner fruity fragrance or a thicker vanilla or musky blend) then choose between the three gauges of wick available for this diameter range (light, medium, heavy). Still not sure? Then test them all and keep some notes, or consider buying a pre-measured candle kit where we've done all the testing for you). Please remember that when creating your own recipe's your own thorough testing is always required to determine the best wick profile for your candle. You want to strike the right balance to achieve a full melt pool, a proud flame, little to no mushrooming, and a bold scent throw. Tips Trim your wicks to size after making each candle and keep the trimmings to make new wicks by attaching a spare metal wick tab. Buy some extra Wick Stickums to stick the wick to the base of your jar and also a Wooden or Metal Wick Holder to hold the wick securely at the top of the jar.
