The Standard PPF by Geoshield delivers on all 3. No hype, All quality. Adhesive- You need an adhesive that is forgiving but strong. You need to be able to stretch the film and have it hold when tacked and not leave glue marks. We have perfectly weighted The Standard PPF adhesive to deliver an easy installation and long term bond that prevents lifting and peeling. Quality TPU- All paint protection film is constructed with polyurethane film (TPU). All TPU has the ability to heal. Some can self-heal better than others without the need for outside heat but this is primarily attributed to the top coat. TPU needs to be optically clear with no orange peel and have the ability to stretch without distortion. The Standard PPF is an 8MIL PPF constructed with the finest TPU available on the market. Top Coat- The top coat is what protects the film from the elements and allows for a high gloss appearance. Without a quality top coat the film will prematurely age and turn yellow due to contamination from elements and UV exposure. The Standard PPF uses a proprietary top coat that has been proven in the harshest conditions in the world. In a market filled with excellent paint protection films, they often come at premium prices and outlandish claims of durability and longevity. Depending on use and care, PPF should be removed from your car after 5 years. Over 5 years it will become more difficult to remove safely.
