In the early 1970s, the company, like many other pencil manufacturers, was acquired by Faber-Castell. Once the most popular high-end pencil in the country, the Venus line has now been discontinued. These pencils are HB grade, similar to a No. 2 pencil, gold imprint and ivory end cap; some have slight pink discoloration.
