An alternative to tailors chalk, Hemline Fabric Markers are perfect for tracing around patterns before cutting your fabric, marking designs for quilting, embroidery or stitching. These pens come in 2 varieties: Wipe-Off / Water Soluble (Blue Ink) These pens make a clear blue mark which is easily removed with a damp cloth. To remove marks, simply wipe off with a damp cloth or rinse out in cold water. PLEASE NOTE: All fabric markers should be pre-tested on a scrap of fabric for both application and removal to avoid permanent staining. All temporary markings must be removed before ironing or washing in detergent. Do not iron or hot wash any pen or pencil mark before removal, as the heat may set the mark into the fabric permanently. You must wash out the marks within 30 days of marking the fabric, to avoid staining. For washout instructions, see above. Vanishing / Air Removable (Purple Ink) These pens make a clear purple mark which disappears within 24-72 hours. If necessary, remove marks with a damp cloth or rinse out in cold water.
