We've created the Leather Belt Making Kit to enable making an Italian leather belt from scratch. In the kit is everything one needs, from the Italian leather that's been cut to size, to the dauber for finishing the edges. There's no hammering of rivets or complicated stitching, we have devised a technique using really strong braided thread to fasten the buckle and keeper. Buying someone a good belt is one thing, but giving a belt that you've made yourself or a kit so that they can make it- now that is something even better! We can personalise it with your name as the maker, or if you're giving the kit as a gift then we can personalise it with the name of the recipient. Perfect gift for 3rd Wedding Anniversary, Leather Anniversary.The leather is an Italian cowhide, from an artisan tannery in Florence where they still use traditional techniques and tree barks to process the hides. The leather comes in 3 colours, distinct but not garish. The hides are aniline dyed which, like stain on wood, lets the grain and all its natural imperfections show through. The kit contains a very tough harness buckle. Choose either solid brass or nickel plated brass in 1.5 widths or shiny brass finish or matt silver finish in narrow 1 widths.The leather comes in 3 classic colours and the buckle can either be solid brass or nickel plated brass. We offer a choice of personalisation in different coloured pigments. See the images for examples and possibly inspiration!The Belt Kits are made to fit 5 trouser sizes: XSmall 24-28, Small 28-32″, Medium 32-36″, Large 36-40″ and XLarge 39-43 Width 1.5 will fit most casual trousers, jeans and chinos.
