Shou Sugi Ban Wood Rounds- Our interest in traditional Japanese techniques of shou sugi ban, burning wood for preservation and fire protection, resulted in one of our favorite products to date.  Wood is charred, cooled, cleaned and finished with natural oil in this process dating back to the 18th century in Japan's Okayama Prefecture.

The Douglas Fir wood used was purchased from our local friends over at Firewood Farms who procured the wood from San Francisco’s Transbay Terminal foundation pilings.  Burned by hand by Joe, our in-house carpenter, right here in Half Moon Bay, CA.

Stack and use as a side table or plant stand or individually for crystals or other treasured items.  Decorative, not food safe.    Available for local pickup only in Half Moon Bay. Please inquire for custom orders.  Wood round approx. 11 diameter, 2 thick.  Wood stools approx. 11 diameter, 12.5 thick.
