The spokeshave is used principally to smooth curved surfaces. It may be drawn toward or pushed away from the worker, whichever is more convenient.

These spokeshaves are the most common pattern of spokeshave in use today. Both flat and round bottom models have two adjustable solid brass screws to easily and precisely set your depth of cut. The flat bottom version is for shaping straight or convex surfaces and the round bottom is for concave surfaces. Body is made from tough ductile cast iron and black coated. These spokeshaves are based on the Stanley and Record models 151 and 151R.
