These blank sublimatable patches are made of polyester and have black stitched border. The black border is aproximately 1/8. The patches are white color allowing the colors to pop. Using sublimation you can create custom patches with color designs that are not possible by other methods like embroidery or engraving. The patches have iron-on adhesive backing and real stitching around the edge. Patches can be dry cleaned or washed in a washing machine with cold water - air dry only. Use these patches to personalize hats, bags, aprons, shirts, jackets and more. We will provide a SVG template that you can use to trim your design to fit the shape of the patch.   Sublimation Instructions Print your design larger than the patch. Remember to reverse your design - VERY IMPORTANT: use a lint roller on your patch to remove any dust or loose fibers. - Sublimate on the matte side of the patch. The shiny side is the adhesive backing paper. - Use heat tape to adhere the patch to the transfer paper. Only tape the patch from the black border to avoid peeling the paper on the adhesive backing. Layer the press from the bottom pad to the top heat platen as follows: 1. teflon sheet 2. patch 3. transfer paper with your design 4. teflon sheet Sublimation Settings: Temperature - 390 degrees F Dwell time - 60 seconds Pressure - medium Tips: - If the image of the final product appears light increase the pressure or the dwell time slightly (10-20 seconds). - If the image on the final product appears blurred or substrate appears yellowed reduce the dwell time slightly (10-20 seconds).   Ironing Instructions BEFORE ATTACHING THE PATCH BE SURE TO LET IT REST FOR A LEAST ONE HOUR AFTER SUBLIMATION TO ALLOW THE ADHESIVE TO RECONSTITUTE. Iron-on Settings: - temperature - 300 degrees F - dwell time - 15 seconds - pressure - medium Patches can be dry cleaned or washed in a washing machine with cold water - air dry. The recommended settings above may need adjustments for best results. Settings will vary depending on the heat press brand and model ink and paper.
