A vintage Sears aluminum double boiler pot set is offered to you. Embossed with the Sears logo on the bottom, this pot was likely made during the ‘50s or ‘60s. Consequently, it does have a few minor dings on the bottom pot. The inner pot has fared better with no noticeable dings. The pots’ lid is made of black resin-type/plastic material; so are the handles. Both handles are secure, as is the knob on the lid. Width of the bottom pot (at the bottom) is 6 1/2”. The bottom pot opening (where upper pot is inserted) spans 5 1/2” wide. The top width of inset pot is 5 1/2”. The bottom width of inner pot is 4 1/2”. Pot lid measures 6 1/2” wide. Pot handles are 6 1/4” long. Midcentury aluminum pots like this are nearly indestructible! In past years pots such as this were the choice of cooking rice (before rice cookers were invented), custards and puddings, sauces and melting things such as chocolate. It’s the only thing I use to make puddings and custards from scratch because your recipe cooks well without burning. Priority shipping via USPS .
