Vintage ribbon French velvet cotton w silk 2 1/4 inch Red Rasberry

This is a fine vintage velvet ribbon from France.  It is fashioned of cotton and silk.  The ribbon is old store stock still on the original roll.  Condition is pristine.  The ribbon color is called Cerise.  Cerise is a cherry red, and the first use of Cerise in English as a color name was in 1858.
