This 100 percent cotton, 32 count fabric* is the "raw", unprocessed Mikini before it has been dyed, bleached, or mercerized and has a lovely natural color. It has a very soft hand, and is perfect for crisp, intricate stitch definition as well as drawn thread work. At 70 inches wide, it is very versatile and suitable for long table runners or even tablecloths. *A note about the count: because this fabric is unprocessed, the thread count can be one thread more in one direction (for example, 32 threads to the inch along the selvedge edge and 33 threads to the inch perpendicular to the selvedge). After I test stitched a table runner and pressed it, the count was 32ct/16sts to the inch over two threads. This kind of slight uneven thread count is common in modern reproduction folk embroidery fabrics in order to mimic the slight uneven thread count of traditional handwoven fabrics. Available in the following sizes:18x35" fat quarter18x70" half yard36x70" full yard You can find a video on all of the Avlea Folk Embroidery fabrics here.
