A Clutch - Linen Quill Yarn from Purl Soho – Sky Loom Weavers

A clutch is a treasured collection of things. In this case, I have several collections of yarn, all wonderful, but unlikely to ever get used in my studio. They need to go to someone else who can use them to their full potential. This collection is made up of 6 1/2  skeins of fingering weight yarn from Purl Soho called

A clutch is a treasured collection of things. In this case, I have several collections of yarn, all wonderful, but unlikely to ever get used in my studio. They need to go to someone else who can use them to their full potential.

This collection is made up of 6 1/2  skeins of fingering weight yarn from Purl Soho called Linen Quill. The fiber content is 50% Fine Highland Wool, 35% Alpaca and 15% Linen. Each skein is 100 grams (about 3.5 ounces) with 439 yards. The tag suggests needles size 2 to size 5.

I bought this yarn with only a vague idea of what it wanted to be. I ended up knitting a wonderful Stephen West pattern for a round shawl called Amsterbam. 

The yarn is a beautiful green, not quite the sage which is my favorite but I think it leans just a bit in that direction. It knits up beautifully. With over 2800 yards, there are so many possibilities!
